Omnisay Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Omnisay ("the app") is a voice-following teleprompter. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and what it does not do.

Accounts are optional

You can use Omnisay fully without an account. If you choose to create one, you sign in with Apple or Google and we receive only what they share with us: a unique account identifier and, if you allow it, your email address (Apple may give us a private relay address instead) and your name. We do not receive your Apple or Google password. We use the account only to know that you are you and to count how many people use Omnisay. Your scripts are not tied to your account and stay on your device.

What we collect

The app automatically sends a small number of anonymous usage events, such as:

Each event is tagged with a randomly generated device identifier that is created the first time you open the app and stored only on your device. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, Google account, or any other personally identifying information, and cannot be used to identify you.

What we do not collect

Camera and microphone access

Omnisay requests microphone access so it can follow your voice while reading, and camera access only if you choose to use the optional recording feature. Audio and video stay on your device unless you explicitly choose to save a recording to your own photo library — Omnisay does not upload recordings anywhere.

Live Session

If you start a Live Session, the app sends the script you are reading and your reading position to our relay server at omnisay.app so the same script can be shown in your browser at omnisay.app/live. This happens only while the session is open. The script is kept in the server's memory for the session and is never written to disk, logged or shared; it is gone when the session ends (when you end it, when the app has been away for two minutes, after 30 minutes without activity, or after 4 hours at most). The server briefly keeps the IP addresses of devices that connect, in memory only, to block repeated attempts to guess session codes.

Where data is stored

If you create an account, your account details are stored in our own database on our server in the EU (Finland). Anonymous usage events are stored by our database provider, Supabase, Inc. Your scripts, settings, and voice training data are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time in the app under Settings, and you can use Omnisay without an account. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Account → Delete account; this removes your account and everything attached to it from our server right away. To have anonymous usage data associated with your device identifier removed, contact us using the details below and we'll delete it. Uninstalling the app removes the locally stored device identifier along with all local app data.

Children's privacy

Omnisay is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Since the app doesn't collect contact information, we're not able to notify you directly — please check back here occasionally.
